Have you ever wanted to step back in time?

No, really?

I have always wondered what it would have been like to live in the days of yester-year…when the milk came straight from your cow, when the bumblebees buzzed through your chamomile, and when the shuttle on the loom was the only way one got their next pair of breeches.

When I live history, I get a chance to experience these things. I can sit on the porch of an old cracker home and smell the smoke coming from the blacksmith shop as I spin wool. Did other ladies sit just like I am sitting today? What project were they completing? What secrets were they sharing with a neighbor? What was weighing on their mind?

This is what I want to capture. The events of their day as they lived life doing what we now call folk art. How did they make those baskets? Weave those rugs? Crochet those blankets? Whittle those spoons?

How did they manage to get all of what they needed to do done and still have time to mend clothing, collect eggs, walk to church, and hoe a row of beans?

I hope you visit often as the Events Calendar is always updating.

And one more thing! I love to hear from you. And don’t forget to sign up for the email list. I don’t email often, but when I do I definitely want you to be included.

Thanks for stopping by.

I hope to see you strolling through the village sometime!

Love,

Sadie May
