SUMMARY:Raised Bed Vegetable Gardening
DESCRIPTION:Raised Bed Vegetable Gardening\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout this event\n\n\nSaturday\, April 2\, 2022 \n9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. \nInstructor: Robert Bowden \nForget about growing plants single file in long\, parallel rows. You can grow up to 10 times the amount of produce in the same space by using raised beds. In a raised garden bed\, you keep outside weeds away from your garden soil\, prevent water runoff\, eliminate soil compaction\, and worry about less slugs and bugs. Enjoy a fun-filled presentation by Leu Gardens’ Executive Director\, Robert Bowden\, as he helps you discover the joys of growing vegetables and herbs in raised beds. \nRobert Bowden is the Director of Leu Gardens and author of Florida Top Ten Garden Guide by Sunset Books and Florida Fruit and Vegetable Gardening: Plant\, Grow\, and Harvest the Best Edibles by Cool Springs Press. \nParticipants must withdraw from classes at least five days prior to the start of class in order to receive a full refund or credit. If we must cancel a class\, we will make every effort to inform you prior to the class time\, and you will receive a full refund or credit. \nOnly those registered for the class will be permitted in the classroom. Childcare services are not provided
